About CASEY
Casey Horsfield is a Melbourne-based photographer whose creative eye is intuitively drawn toward urbanism and our human interaction with the beauty of the built environment. His photography captures architecture and all its edges, as well as human expression through shape, dance, and sculpture.
Recognised as a multi-disciplined talent working in both the commercial and editorial arenas, through the lens he curiously investigates our environments and the human relationship to our lived landscapes. His style unites our surroundings with our sense of self, giving voice to design and breath to the human form. His work is both professional and approachable and he has produced campaigns for some of Australia’s leading cultural organisations including The Australian Ballet, Orchestra Victoria and MPavilion. Other clients Casey has worked with include PUMA, The Hellenic Museum, and Kachel.
His personal photography is driven by expression, emotion, and our perceptions of the brick-and-mortar structures we create and encounter. Inspired by the urban terrain, his subjective photographs are a layered commentary that seamlessly blends intimacy, composition, and atmosphere.
With profound experience in both portraiture and urban landscape photography, Casey has created a meaningful portfolio that highlights the fragility of the human experience. Connecting viewers to the world around them with each image, his pieces move between modes and moods using lines, colour, and a sophistication of contrast. It is a photographic palimpsest.
